This season London designer, Sadie Williams took us back to the glitz and glamour of the swinging 60’s and 70’s with a collection that embodied her youth and experiences. Known for creating modern textiles juxtaposed with modern craft, Sadie delves further into mixing mediums this season which can be seen through her textile choices.
Amongst Williams’ signature A-line shapes, she introduced boxy mini-dresses with stunning graphic details. She has a natural talent for textiles which can be seen through the pairing of a rough glitzy surface with a smoother fabric creating visually pleasing well balanced look.
Williams reconstructs the idea of tomboy and femininity mixing in palette of multi-tonal reds, hues of blues and grey. There’s an apparent wardrobe of oversized t-shirts, boxy dresses, a long flowing coat and dress with graphic prints which tells this story very well. Glimmering effortlessly through the presentation also was the metallic A-line dress with her signature graphic print accompanied by a shimmering red crown. From tricoloured glitzy pony cuffs, graphic printed headbands to lurex crowns the styling was playful and reflected Williams inspiration.
