Based in Seoul, emerging designer, The-Sirius headed by Younchan Chung (pronounced YUN-CHAN) focuses on the concept of responding to contemporary fashion by combining the old with the new. Innovation becomes relevant when tradition is embedded as a foundation and Younchan understand this very well.
Sarah Mower MBE, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent and Chief Critic Vogue Runway first spotted his talent at the 2017 International Fashion Showcase awarding him the IFS Designer Award. Sarah was the chair of the judging panel. One year on and he has just been announced as one of the 20 finalists for the 2018 LVMH Prize Award. Sarah is also one of the international committee of experts.
See his SS18 Collection, ‘Vacance’, a warm and soothing collection with beige as the base colour accentuated with soft hues taking inspiration from fruits ripened in the sunny European vacance destinations. Lace details are added to create a feminine touch. The collection is unisex.

The list includes London Fashion Week Menswear designer Charles Jeffrey and A-Cold-Wall*, London Fashion Week Womenswear designer Marta Jakubowski, Faustine Steinmetz and South Korean designer The Sirius and Paris based South Korean designer Rokh – Rok Hwang.
